PRESS RELEASE

The median household income for Asian Americans is higher than the national average. Asian Americans make up 4.3% of the total U.S. population -- that’s about 12 million people who identify themselves as at least part Asian. However, this number represents an increase of 63% from the 1990 census, making Asian Americans the fastest growing of all the major racial/ethnic groups in the U.S., in terms of percentage growth. But in so many ways, the presence of Asian Americans is much more prominent than even these numbers suggest. Read more

    FRIENDSHIP CORPS
It is genuinely exciting to think about the power we have as leaders to change attitudes and perspectives. Friendship has no limit and the joy and gains of a unique friendship is boundless, if we are ready to share.

The purpose of Friendship Corps is to promote understanding, friendship and tolerance among peoples of the world.

"I think the best way to handle the attacks of September the 11th is to fight fear with friendship; is to fight fear with hope; is to remind people all around the world we have much more in common than people might think; that we share basic values -- the importance of family, and the importance of faith, and the importance of friendship." - George W. Bush

"I have long believed, as have many before me, that peaceful relations between nations requires understanding and mutual respect between individuals". - -- President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Founder of People to People International
