VOLUNTEER AND MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

Our mission is to promote friendship and ultimately, peace, among peoples of the world through meetings and travel. We organize voluntary work to provide help to people in need. All volunteers are welcome, regardless of their nationality, sex, age, or level of study. All that is needed is an open mind and plenty of good will

The volunteers’ program of Friendship Corps is based on the belief that there is much that we can get from and add to our society by working as part of a community of volunteers. In our efforts in the voluntary sector, we strive to help the people to learn to take the initiative in their self-development. These programs are focused on creating spaces for under served people so as to enable them to work as a community.

SHORT TERM WORK CAMPS: Work camps aim to promote international friendship and cooperation by bringing local people and foreign volunteers together to work towards a specific goal. Work camps are organized throughout the year in rural areas of developing countries. In just two weeks, you will have the opportunity to experience a different way of life while helping a local community.

Some camps involve physical work designed to improve the situation of a community. You can work on an equal level with locals to help build a path, school or playground, or help plant trees.

Other camps are geared more toward education. You can help raise the awareness of villagers about certain problems (medical, educational, environmental or agricultural) and suggest improvements for the local people to make. A report can be created to help the local government for planning for its future and/or in seeking governmental or non-governmental assistance.

MEDICAL MISSIONS: Most people in the rural areas of developing countries are in great need of health and medical care. We encourage physicians and medical personnel to lend their expertise in short term medical missions to help alleviate some of the suffering.

EDUCATIONAL MISSIONS:, Help villagers understand the importance of clean water, better nutrition, and education. Provide books and school supplies.
